The TVC Community Impact Fund allows our Trinity Volunteers opportunities to conduct fundraising efforts in behalf of other people with special needs.

This year’s beneficiaries are 8th grade special education students who so generously contributed their creativity in making decorations with the Trinity Volunteer Corps for our VC13 Project bringing Valentine Cheer to the five Chicago area Ronald McDonald Houses. Several of these students’ families have financial need that would disallow their participation in a teaching module designed to strengthen daily living skills while shopping for their 8th grade graduation outfits. So, the TVC Community Impact Fund set a goal of raising $500 to assist them.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at half past two in the afternoon, Trinity Volunteers Jackie Finn, Karina Leonard, Dan Riley and Derek Withers served an elegant High Tea to a group of generous white gloved and behatted
ladies who made donations in excess of the stated goal affording our Trinity Volunteers the opportunity to experience the joy of giving back to their local communities in yet another way. Tea party guests enjoyed the full range of tea party delicacies then made spring bouquets to take home. The group also sang Happy Birthday to Karina who enjoyed receiving a hat shaped cake for the occasion!

Congratulations Dan, Derek, Jackie & Karina! You are now participating in the full spectrum of volunteering “time, talent and treasure” through Trinity Volunteer Corps.
