A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Danny

Danny Pellettiere, one of our Trinity Volunteers, participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new ice ribbon at Maggie Daley Park on 13 December.   Danny has been able to watch the development of the park from his high rise window and while the park won’t officially open until June of 2015, there was plenty of excitement as the first skaters tried out the new ice ribbon. He saw how the news reporters covered the event and had the pleasure of meeting the park’s architect, Micheal VanValkenburgh.   But perhaps his biggest thrill came with the opportunity to have his picture taken with both Mayor Daley and Mayor Emmanuel.   This truly was a day Danny will never forget!
